1 - Step Right Up
When a young writer sells the pitch for the reboot of an early 2000s sitcom, the shows actors must come back together and face their unresolved issues.
2 - New Girl
Hannah and Gordons relationship is tested when he brings in a new cast member without her knowledge. This cast member also drives a wedge between Reed and Bree. Clay gets sucked into a new relationship with someone close to Zack.
3 - Growing Pains
As Bree and Reed struggle to get through an intimate scene on camera, Hannah and Gordon each hire their own writers, causing paralysis in the writers room. Meanwhile Clay tries to end an awkward relationship at work before it blows up in his face.
4 - Girlfriends
Reed entangles himself in Brees personal life, as she awakens to the modern world. Hannah realizes Gordon doesnt know shes a lesbian. Zack and Elaine have an awkward business breakfast that turns into a meet-cute.
5 - What We Do in the Shadows
Gordon and Reed work through their past issues while Clay helps Bree out of a jam, and Hannah supports Zack as he tries to regain custody of a dog he shared with his ex-girlfriend.
6 - Bewitched
Bree pulls Reed into their old game of creating elaborate backstories for eccentric-looking strangers. Gordon enlists the writers to help Hannah get together with a woman she likes. Clay tries to make amends with Jerry. Zack wants to ask out a co-worker.
7 - Baskets
Hannah and Gordon try to manage Brees ego in the writers room, Clay almost loses his mind trying to get his lines right during looping, and Reed joins Zack for a basketball game against some unexpected opponents.
8 - Who's the Boss
Bree gets hit with surprising news during an on camera interview just as Reed gets a surprise visitor. Clay struggles with buying a house. Hannah and Gordon learn that theres been a regime change at Hulu that does not bode well for the show.
